I love do it yourself project that allow you to take old items and upcycle them into new goods. So when I found the video from GrowOrganic.com on how to make a vertical garden using rescued pallets, I couldn’t resist sharing it with you. But that’s not all you can make with pallets.
I share 6 DIY pallet projects below.
Vertical Garden
This DIY project is perfect for those who have a small space, but still want to grow a garden. You can easily grow herbs to save money, or flowers. Watch the video (above) for complete instructions on how to make a vertical garden.
Chairs
Need new patio furniture? Use two pallets to create a lounge chair. You can even add cushions to make it more comfortable, and paint them whatever color you like.
Tables
You can easily use a pallet as a table top. All you need is to find legs. I like the rustic look, but you can definitely add paint or gloss. Here’s more info on how to salvage old furniture.
Coffee Table / Ottoman
A single pallet can be used to create a coffee table. You can add wheels to the table to make it easier to move around. Another option is an ottoman. You’ll just need to buy a cushion and fabric to place on the top.
Entry way furniture
I love the idea of having a landing strip where you can place things when you walk in the door. This helps cut down on the time you spend looking for your keys. After all, time is money, right? You may recall BB’s $5 garage score was a table she refurbished just for this purpose. A single pallet mounted on the wall also works well. You can even paint it and add hooks for your keys.
Compost bin
You’ll need three pallets to build a compost bin. The open side will be helpful when you need to turn the compost. You can use a hammer and nails to put them together. Even easier, just tie them together with rope. To make the compost bin more sturdy, you can also dig holes to bury the legs. Need to find out what you can include in compost? Here are 13 things you didn’t know about composting.

Love the things you can do with wooden pallets!
I will try to make a pergola from them. After I seen your work, it must be possible.
Much Love
