Sell your junk. It’s time to go through your closets, basement, and attic to look for electronics, clothes, and furniture to sell stuff on Craigslist.

Sell yourself. Not literally. I’m talking about getting paid for medical donations and research studies. Becoming a  plasma, egg, or sperm donor can be a quick and easy way to earn extra cash. I once tried to donate plasma for $60, but I didn’t qualify plus the needle was intimidating. Ouch!

House or pet sit. Many people go out of town for Thanksgiving and need someone trustworthy to pick up mail, water their plants, and even take Fido for a walk. Let neighbors know you are available to work.

Use your skills. If you’re good with Photoshop and taking photos, you can get paid for making holiday cards for individuals. Just make sure to charge less than a professional. My dad is good at fixing TVs so when he has time, he’ll take in TVs to make extra cash.

Sell your handiwork. You can make extra money by selling handmade items like crocheted scarfs, gloves, and more. Etsy is ground zero for selling anything handmade.

Participate in a focus group. Become a member of a focus group in your area and get paid. Look in your local paper for opportunities. I once was paid $35 to listen to a a couple radio commercial and give feedback. I also got lunch! I stumbled across the research company at a local mall.
