Black + Decker Cordless Hand Vacuum $19.99
This Black + Decker Dustbuster is only $19.99, regularly $49.99 (that’s a 60% savings!) This is a great way to jump-start spring cleaning at a bargain! Remember, Amazon prices can change at any time!
I’m not sure why this was posted here as a special or as a savings.
One quick look at the reviews and it is easy to see a disproportionate number of owners do not like this model and would not recommend it. If a little more time is spent reading through even a random amount of the 4,876 reviews, over 44% are dissatisfied with its suction and battery life after owning it for a few months and a large number of the 30% positive reviews have either just received it or haven’t owned it for very long.
Overall it appears, based on the reviews, to be a complete waste of money. As a personal guess it looks a lot like they are being dumped to clear inventory before this model is discontinued which is a smart move on Amazon’s part as returns are generally refunded by the manufacturer whereas warehoused dead stock is not.
Again, why would this model be recommended here when even a little investigation would have proved that at whatever price it does not present any savings and is in no way considered a Bargain?
Hi Y.T., if you read the reviews you’ll see that one reviewer was able to get the vacuum working properly again just by cleaning the filter. And multiple reviewers got (free) replacement units from Black & Decker, which they are happy with. We know that Bargain Babe readers are savvy shoppers, so we trust them to read reviews and decide, based on their own priorities, whether or not to make a purchase.
