Welcome to Bargain Babe! I’m Mara, and I’m so glad you’re here. I am an obsessive bargain hunter and penny pincher, and I am determined to live a full life without EVER paying full price. I live for everyday deals because when you do the math, the little purchases – lunch out, a new top, a tank of gas – really add up. And those little savings can make a big difference in reaching major financial goals, like buying a home, sending your kids to college, or retiring by the ocean.

I am a mom of two darling children who have simultaneously made my life and taken years off my life. I am also wife to a wonderful man who happens to be a serial entrepreneur. That means my frugal ways have carried us through many very dry financial spells.

I believe that time is as valuable as money, and I love a good hack that simplifies my life. I live in a small home with closets that were apparently built for hobbits, so I am constantly striving to minimize my stuff and to be mindful about purchases. That means that I focus on value for money, not just low prices.
