Did you know many stores give you cash back for BYOB — bringing your own bags? Though it’s only a couple of cents — it quickly adds up! In California, where I live, many cities have a ban on plastic bags so we’re saying good bye to this. We are being forced to BYOB or pay up.
Reusable bags can be pricey so I’m sharing a video to teach you how to make your own bags!
The video is by YouTube user LongHairDontCareLLC. Making your own bags doesn’t require many things. Just an old T-shirt, pencil, plate and a sewing machine (I don’t have one, but I’m using my moms!) Don’t have one also? Ask a neighbor or friend!
After you make your bags, make sure to stash them in your car and office so you always have them handy.

Very cool DIY project! I don’t have a sewing machine, but I could always hand sew the bottom hem (there is only one hem to sew!) I’ll have to save some of Hubs’ old T-shirts and mine to make little bags.
Note, skip the first 40 seconds – what an incredibly long and boring intro! Also, for some reason the volume is really low when the woman speaks following the intro. Kinda low production value.
