Everyone knows WhitePages.com, but did you know the site has a new free tool to help you organize block parties with neighbors? To win a $100 Visa gift card sponsored by WhitePages.com (to help pay for some of those burgers and hot dogs) for a block party, see below.
The new tool is called WhitePages Neighbors and it’s basically a fancy map that shows you contact info for the folks who live closest to you. Handy for emergencies and favors, too!
You can edit your listing to set whatever privacy level you prefer. Rest assured, you have complete control. Now for some whisper-worthy stats on your neighbors:
- 47% of people polled by Harris Interactive on behalf of WhitePages can identify their neighbors’ cars
- 27% know the names of neighbor pets but only 24% know the names of neighbors kids!
- 93% say it’s important for neighbors to look out for each others’ safety
- 67% believe that it is important to have contact information for their neighbors but only 8% do!
WhitePages Neighbors is part of a partnership with National Night Out to help neighbors organize block parties, with free postcard invites mailed via USPS and RSVP capabilities.
