I bought a set of Sistema containers a few years ago at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and am not really happy with them. First of all, the rubber gaskets in the lid aren’t big enough to form a tight seal, so when you snap the lid closed, liquids will still leak out of them if you tilt them sideways. So avoid storing any sort of liquids if you think the container might get tilted (like in a kid’s lunch box). Second, the sides of the containers aren’t tapered, they are pretty much straight up and down, which means that containers of the same dimensions don’t really nest well for storage.

I agree that they’re not great for liquids, but we’ve really loved our Sistema containers for school lunches. I especially like that they’re made in New Zealand, not China.
