looking for help finding baseball pants, cleats, and gloves this year for my 15 year old. any site suggestions?
Chris, are you looking for new or used? I’m guessing new as baseball pants get dirty and ripped up easily and buying used shoes has risks (though it is not altogether out of the question). A good leather glove can be worn for years if you keep it dry and oil the leather occasionally to keep it supple. A new one has to be worn in (try stuffing it under a mattress overnight). If you find a used leather glove in good condition that fits I would snap it up!
Garage sales are one place to look for gloves. To search for garage sale listings, I used Craigslist and search for specific terms, i.e. “glove” or “leather glove.” You might also try calling your local thrift store to ask if they have baseball gear in stock.
Where do you look for a bargain on baseball pants, cleats, and gloves?
Remember to sign up for the store or website you decide to shop at as you’ll often get an introductory coupon for joining the email list!
Garage sales. I also check with sports authority which you can get coupons via emails. Or Walmart, that’s where I got most especially when I went camping.
I would try Play It Again Sports. It’s used equipment, obviously, but you can get some great finds. They may or may not be in your area, but I would definitely take a look if you’re near one! My best friend’s brother got most of his ice hockey equipment there even when he played in college because the prices and equipment could not be beat. Have fun!
Thanks for these suggestions Allisha and Meredith!
