The Go Frugal blog at FreeShipping.org has a post about the top five iPhone applications that will save you money.
I’ve been meaning to blog about Fring, one of the apps mentioned in this post, but the others I am new to.
Here’s a quick look at three apps from the list.
Kids Eat Free – We constantly share Kids Eat Free deals for different restaurants in our daily freebies post. Finding these deals is a great way to save on family nights out. By downloading the Kids Eat Free app you can find restaurant near you that offer free kids meals. According to the app description, they have a list of over 8,000 restaurants in the United States. The apps finds deals that don’t require a discount card or coupons. Nice! Also, users of the apps are encouraged to submit local restaurant deals that will be included in their weekly update. This app costs $0.99 but should pay for itself with the saving from your first free kids meal!
Coupon Sherpa – The first reason we love the Coupon Sherpa app is because it’s FREE! Besides it’s great price there are also many other reasons to love Coupon Sherpa. The app makes hundreds of coupons available for use right on your phone. All you have to do is show the offer on your phone at checkout to snag your discount. Bargain Babe isn’t the only one who loves this app. It’s also been mentioned by The Wall Street Journal, The Dr. Oz Show, MONEY Magazine, FOX Business and more. If you’re looking for more information about how to use the app you can watch a quick video here.
Cheap Gas – The Cheap Gas app works by showing you a list of gas stations near you, ranked in order of lowest price. To se how close you are to the gas stations all you have to do is click on the listing. Then, it will open for you in Maps. This makes it much easier to find the cheapest gas near you! Like Coupon Sherpa, the Cheap Gas app is also free. Nice! This app will work in both the United States and Canada.
If you love these apps, you can check out the rest of the list here!
What are you favorite money saving apps? Do you use your phone to find mobile coupons or cheap gas? What apps do you think the Bargain Babe community should know about? We’d love to hear how you save, so let us know in the comments!
FYI!
Skype just came out with their own Iphone/Ipod Touch App.
