BargainBabe.com really is a group effort. This latest tip comes from my little brother!
I had to charge my phone for a couple of hours, so I went to the T -mobile store and saw the price of the charger (24 dollars). I only needed the charger for a day so I started talking about how much my situation sucked and the lady at the store said I could charge my phone at the store for free.
Not bad, John! I like going to Costco and Len’s Crafters for their free eye glass cleanings!
Next time you leave your charger home while on a trip! the hotels usually have a HUGE box full of chargers left behind by guests 😉 just ask the front desk for the charger box and they’ll let you look through it
this is great! thanks for the advice!
Miss ya bargain babe!
Our local Dollar Tree store has almost ALL the phone chargers for every brand, they just don’t have a brand name on them. Great for a buck!
sometimes you’ll slip and actually find customer service 🙂
Costco fraudulently and in violation Of CA Business and Professions Code Section 2541. 1 Refuses to use prescription that are over 1 year old.
CA law requires then to be good for 2 years. The manager claims they do not have to follow the law.
I wonder what other laws they ignore
Thanks for the tip, John and Julia. It’s so easy to forget that charger when traveling! You just saved me $24 times * X= wasted money
Prescriptions are only good for one year and then you must get a new one. This has been practiced in every pharmacy that I have encountered. Maybe it was an rx you should have not tried to refill.
I have the car charger, and I use that when I’m driving to juice up the phone … and the other charger stays at home.
Business & Professions Code 2541 only refers to ophthalmic devices, not meds. So unless you were trying to refill a prescription for glasses or contacts, Costco was not in violation of the code.
Yes I was trying to replace glasses that were so scratched They we not usable. the code says
(b) The expiration date of a spectacle lens prescription shall not
be less than two.
and
(1) The patient’s spectacles are lost, broken, or damaged to a
degree that renders them unusable.
This requires them to make them without any limit. They were just trying to get me to use their own doctor for a fee. I haw to see my doctor 4 time a year do to diabetic problems.
