Hi Diane! I think I figured this out. If you click on the “Advanced” link it brings up a this paragraph:
“This server could not prove that it is http://www.teamonger.com; its secrurity certificate expired 1 day(s) ago. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection. Your computer’s clock is currently set to Friday, Janurary 9, 2015. Does that look right? If not, you should correct your system’s clock then refresh this page. ”
Underneath this paragraph is the link: Proceed to http://www.teamonger.com (unsafe). If you click on this link it will take you to the page. I had no problem with this when using the Safari web browser…only on Chrome. I was able to get to the site and sign up for my tea sample with no complications so I think the site is safe. Hope this helps!
Thanks for looking into this, Dacia. Nevertheless, I still don’t like the word “unsafe” regarding anything (free or not!) on the Internet. Also, the cause may be “an attacker intercepting [my] connection”? Nothing is worth taking these risks. I prefer to be safe than sorry.
