I share five must read blog posts about saving money every Friday.
Tired of receiving tons of emails from daily coupon sites? It would be nice if there were a daily coupon aggregating site. There is. (Daily Dibs)
Save money on food by cooking ahead these 10 things on your day off from work. (Wisebread)
Do you fib about your finances? Find out how financial infidelity is taking a toll on marriages and how you can spot telltale signs of the financially unfaithful. (CNN Money)
If you like Groupon and Living Social, check out The Dealmap. (The Dealmap)
Unemployment has Americans spending more time sleeping, watching TV, and brewing beer. What are you spending your time on? (Time Moneyland)
Bonus: Rudy Park, the comic strip, occasionally features Rudy’s tightwad boss. Reader Diane said this strip from June 17 reminded her of a male Bargain Babe!
The recipe for Israeli hummus that showed up in the 10 things to do ahead feature sounds really good, but is a bit labor-intensive and somewhat time consuming. Maybe one of these days…
@EllieD Let me know how it turns out. I want to try it as well.
@Yazmin ~ It probably won’t be ’til the hot weather abates a bit, but I’ll definitely post my opinion on the finished product.
It was great to see you at the Frugal Fest Food this year. However, next time it’s an outdoor event, we’ll have to find a shady place to fill the swag bags. The temps were in the high 80s before 10 a.m.!!! YIKES!!!!!
BTW ~ Were you able to access Bobbi’s post on what she liked about the swag bags? I kept getting a “Not Found” notice.
@EllieD In case you were not able to find Bobbi’s post on the Envirosax swag bags, here it is: http://bargainbabe.com/2011/07/01/why-i-love-my-envirosax-nylon-bag-from-the-frugal-festival-food/
