Reader Eva wants to know what trustworthy national daily deal sites she should be monitoring.
Could you tell me what are some reliable daily deal sites that offer nationwide deals. I had never shopped one of these deal sites before until I saw
a deal posted on several coupon blogs for a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card for $15 and since it was my first deal I had ever bought on a deal site naturally I had questions which I e-mailed to customer service who never responded to my e-mail. Luckily, I got the gift card in time to give it as a gift but the fact that they never answered my e-mails it makes me uneasy and I won’t use the site again. The company also never sent me daily deal e-mails that I signed up for when I created the account. Eva
Eva, there are daily deal sites galore, but I like to keep an eye on Groupon, Living Social, and Saveology. I have used these site to buy national and local deals without difficulty. When I did have a problem with one of my Groupons, I emailed their customer service and they were quick to respond and fix the problem. As always, we will share hot daily deal with out readers so don’t forget to check back often!
Before you give up on the site you used, I would do a couple of things. First, make sure you are signed up for their emails. You may have forgotten to save your preferences – this happened to me once. If you are signed up, check your spam folder. Their daily emails could be hiding in there. Some sites, like Groupon, will respond publicly to readers emails in a forum so they don’t have to answer the question more than once. See if the daily deal site you used has something similar. Hey, maybe you made the forum or someone else had already asked the question.
What daily deal sites do you recommend Eva use?

Another site I like a lot is Jasmere. They do deals for online retailers, and I’ve probably bought as much from them as from anyone. It’s a good source for unique gifts at a discount! They sent out an announcement yesterday about some sort of restructuring and a name change coming up, so we’ll have to see how it is after that goes through…
Thanks so much for the advice Deborah I am so new to these daily deal sites but have noticed that you can save quite a bit . Thanks so much Julia for answering my question I hope it helps othes who want to try Daily deal sites
I love Savology I use it all the time and it has been great also Living Social they are also dependable and good prices.. My biggest worry or interest is that Biz site the auction one now that one scares me.
I have used Livingsocial, groupon, doubletakedeals and KGBdeals. I’ve only had one problem with a KGBdeals. I bought a certificate for a cooking class but I couldn’t get a schedule from the company, my emails went unanswered. I contacted KGBdeals, they immediately responded with an appology and refunded my money. I was pretty impressed.
The most important thing to remember about these sites is to always check the small print. The hotel deals are almost always during the week and there are some deals that expire rather quickly.
My favorites are Groupon, Living Social and MyDailyDeal.com. I have bought from other sites with mixed results. I do not recommend SaveMore because of horrible customer service. I won’t ever do business with Jasmere either. I purchased a deal and the business did not honor the voucher and Jasmere refused to give a refund. The three daily deal sites i listed above have always backed their vouchers and given either a credit or a refund when there has been a problem with a business.
