At your frugal fair you may want to consider having a sign up table for people who would like to hold a garage sale together. Many of us live in gated complexes or apartment units where we are not allowed to hold a garage sale. Garage sales are more effective when many families go together. If there are people out there who could help us out with a place, I am pretty sure by combining our efforts we could attract more customers. I know for a fact, that I have a hard time finding other people who like to hold them and where I can go and sell my ordinary junk. Like my 4 kids and the clothes they constantly outgrow and all the other stuff I need just to get rid of.
This is a good suggestion, Stephanie. We won’t able to add a garage sale element to the Frugal Fe$tival this time as we are holding it at a city park and technically, you cannot sell anything on park land. I’ll keep it in mind for next time. Will you be celebrating with us this Sunday?
Stephanie, I apologize. I mis-read your comment. I think a garage sale sign up sheet is a great idea. I’ll add it to the list of things to do at Frugal Fe$tival!
Yes I will see you on Sunday. It will be nice to meet you. I have also taught classes on how to be frugal. I think we may have a lot in common.
