Here’s a clip of tonight’s episode of Extreme Couponing, which is about a mom named Callie who has involved her daughter so much in couponing that the little girl asks for “the coupon song” when she goes to bed.
How does watching the show make you feel? I feel guilty that I don’t use more coupons.

Extreme Couponing makes me feel extremely guilty too. I watch it with my boyfriend sometimes and I actually feel inadequate as a woman and as a mother.
I wish I could feel more inspired by it but honestly, I’m not sure I have that many hours in the day after working and going to school full time.
I don’t care to watch the show because it’s not realistic. The lady who was on the show from my neck of the woods explained how the stores gave exceptions for her to film the show. To me, this is unfair and not good business practices. For those people who really need to save money, it’s not a fair representation. I hate to see when others are hoarding their items and not donating anything to people in need. As a mother of five boys, couponing has helped tremendously, but not with all the fluff the show portrays.
I watch the shows and do not feel guilty, just feel like I could maybe try a little harder. I watch, take what I can use and don’t worry or fret about the rest. I have option to change channel anytime. I am not hoarder, just trying to save when I can. I know most store policies don’t allow what happens on the show, but work with your stores. I admire the couponers and the time they spend to try and help their families. If you do or do not want to coupon like the couponers on show then you do not have to. It is choice!
