Every Friday I link to five must-read stories about personal finance.
Never pay for gas – Here is one blogger’s secret to how she makes the most of grocery store fuel programs to never pay for gas. I don’t know why I haven’t tried this before!
Do you go to work when you’re sick? Three out of four people do! Donna Freedman writes about the cost of spreading illnesses.
20 most frugal cities – Wallet Pop blogger Aaron Crowe explains which cities made the list. Is your city frugal?
Superstreets eliminate left turns – New streets that eliminate U-turns reduce travel times by 20%. And time is money!

Nothing like that in LA…Ralph’s now has something with Shell Gas…but its no where near what I get by buying gas, etc. with my Costco AMEX and their cash back credit card.
I agree with Catherine, Costco gives 3% back for gas and some chase cards give back 5% for gas certain quarters (of the year) I think maybe the freedom card. Anyway, nothing like that in NJ either. I don’t totally understand how it works, but since it’s not available here I guess it doesn’t matter.
of the top 20 frugal cities, Ohio has 3 of them! I wonder how they missed Dayton?
Kroger also has a deal with Shell Gasoline!
Food 4 Less (Kroger) also has a rewards card for gas. You can either use their card or your Ralph’s rewards card at their station. San Fernando Valley – Parthenia & Woodley.
Thanks so much for the link! You are an inspiration to me and always look forward to reading your ideas!
