NOTE: This post has been updated. Two listings have been removed as they are no longer available. Discount information provided by Brad’s Deals.
I’m confused. Your “long list of senior discounts” links to a 3 yr old consumerreports.org article that has no such thing, as far I as I can tell.
Also United and Continental are now *one* airline. Listing them as two entities makes me wonder about the validity of your other listings.
It never hurts to ask for a discount, though.
@Stan I linked to a post Bargain Babe wrote about senior discounts not Consumers Reports. It includes links to websites where you can find discounts in your area. Like I mentioned in the post, I have not verified the discounts — that’s up to you!
IHOP, at least in Albuquerque, NM, has free entree for seniors. I don’t remember if it is only on weekdays or every day or 50+ or 55+.
@Nina Thanks for sharing!
For those who live in the L.A. area, the Laemmle Theater chain offers $4.50 special price for the early matinees (they start before 4 p.m., and there are usually 2 showings of each film at the theater). That’s quite a good bargain these days. Besides, Laemmle has the best theater popcorn in town!!! My friends and I usually go to either the Fallbrook or Encino theaters.
@EllieD Thanks for adding to the list! Laemmle’s is one of my favorite theaters.
@Yazmin~I’m not sure why you would link to a *3 year old* blog about discounts. Three years is like infinity in Internet time. Also, is the “I” in the first sentence you? Did you write the original, uncredited, blog?
@Stan Again, I linked to a post (not a blog) that includes resources to find senior discounts. The post was written three years ago by Julia, but the resources are still relevant.
I wrote this post. Julia is on maternity leave. She has been since the end of December. I’ve mentioned this before, you’ve probably just missed my comments and her post.
Hope this clears things up.
@Yazmin~Did you write the “post” 3 years ago? And how do you know the resources are still relevant since “I have not verified the discounts “?
You are not doing Julia’s followers a favor by rehashing old posts.
(Although I am signed up to receive comments on this, they never get to my email…and no, they wouldn’t be blocked by a spam filter).
