I’m giving away five free books this week. To win, comment on one way you would improve BargainBabe.com (and remember to include which book you want to win)! Comment by Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011 at 11:59 pm. EST. Winners will be announced this Friday.
Here are the books I’m giving away:
Free LA – A guidebook to everything free and fun in Los Angeles. A must have for residents and visitors!
The Scavengers’ Manifesto – Salvaging, swapping, repurposing, reusing, and recycling is the same of the game in this book. Stories and how to tips.
Coupon Mom’s Guide to Cutting Your Grocery Bills in Half – The Coupon Mom’s best seller could be yours!
NYT Manual of Style and Usage (1999) – A bit out of date, but still useful for journalists, bloggers, and other grammar grouches!
U.S. News & World Report Stylebook (1997) – Ditto on the above.
Have more tips to not just reduce expenses but also how to increase income.
Prefer the following book:
Coupon Mom’s Guide to Cutting Your Grocery Bills in Half
thanks!
I love all the ideas on how to save money and all the links to coupons and freebies. I would like to see more ideas or testimonials on how working mothers found additional ways to increase their income. I would like the Coupon Mom’s Guide to Cutting Your Grocery Bills in Half. Thanks for all you do!
Something I’ve seen very helpful on other websites, is a coupon shopping trip posting from other readers. This may help other families get the most from some of the best deals locally with using coupons and sales ad. I would also recommend maybe a column on dinner for a family of 4 for under $10.00.. That would help many families as well(maybe a shopping list from which store got the food items at the price.) I would also like to see more postings on FINANCES!! I prefer the Book: Coupon Mom’s Guide to cutting your grocery bills in half..
How about a forum section for your readers to share recipes?
Will take either Free LA or the Coupon Mom’s book.
I would like to see more tips on budgeting and making extra money. I would love to win the Coupon Mom book.
The Scavengers’ Manifesto and Coupon Mom’s Guide to Cutting Your Bills in Half look like they offer savings worth investing in.
I would like to see more tips about local stores in my home town…
I think the scavengers manifesto sounds interesting.
I would love to see more ways to preserve what we have! That and a PODCAST!
Add a “hints from Bargain Babe” section where you include other uses for everyday household items. Like your crazy for vinegar section but a forum type area where other people can make suggestions and comment. I’d love to win the Coupon Mom’s Guide to Cutting Your Grocery Bills in Half book.
I’d love a section on different deal sites – they’re popping up so often – and what their focus is (entertainment, family, women, food, luxury…)
I’m interested in the Coupon Mom’s Guide to Cutting your Bills in Half.
How about guides for growing organics, which in itself is a big money saver – if you are the person who only wants organic foods. I know they can be expensive. I would like either the Coupon Mom’s Guide to Cutting your Bills in Half or Free LA guid book. Thanks and keeping my fingers crossed!
I would love to have the Coupon Mom’s Guide! I would improve the site by offering an area where “we” could share nifty ideas that would help one another save money…for example: if your lotion bottle is empty, do not throw it away yet. Cut the bottle open (in half). You would be shocked how many more applications you can get. Once cut, gently stick back together or cover with Saran. I would love to share more, and hear new ideas!
Reader’s tips would be great. The coupon mom’s book or the scavengers one.
I wold love to win Coupon Mom’s Guide to Cutting Your Grocery Bills in Half.
More tips on how to save money, and on couponing.
I lost my job over 3 years ago and have not been able to find another one. I would love to win “Coupon Mom’s Guide to Cutting Your Grocery Bill in Half” so that I can learn how to save as much as I can on groceries.
I really Love your site! More ways to save on Grocerys, cloths & ect. with out having to burn $20 or more in gas going from store to store! I would like your Coupon Mom,s Guide to Cutting Your Grocery Bill in Half!
I don’t know what I would improve. Except maybe the layout of the “Daily Updates” subscription button. I don’t want to out myself as being stupid but one day I spent like 15 minutes trying to figure out why it wouldn’t let me post a comment without subscribing to your email list (I was already a member anyway).
The tiny grey rectangle right below the box wasn’t nearly as eye catching as the big button below it. So I kept clicking on the wrong one.
I’d want the Scavenger’s Manifesto most but any of the books could be cool.
It would be great if you could have a section in your website by location…los angeles area, and other areas that you have local deals. I’d love the free L.A. book. Thanks!
I would like to see a section devoted to frugal recipes. Readers can post their favorite ones for all to enjoy.
I would love to win the Free LA, Scavengers’ Manifesto, or Coupon Mom’s Guide to Cutting Your Grocery Bill in Half book.
