I’ll admit I haven’t even STARTED shopping for the $50 fashion challenge against blogger SDBargainMama. We each have $50 to spend to get the best outfit we can, basically.
This weekend I’m hitting the thrift stores with one of my favorite frugal fashionista – you know who you are!
My hot spots in Los Angeles are Lucky You Resale, Crossroads, and the FIDM Scholarship store. I’m hoping to get a dress, maybe a hat, and perhaps some vintage jewelry. We’ll see!
If you’re joining us on the challenge, email me pics of what you buy for $50. The new deadline is Sept. 17!
You should try out the wholesale market in LA on Saturday Mornings. I’ve gone there and have bought tops starting at $5 and skirts at $5. The only thing is you can’t really try on there. There’s a lot to look at. It’s held near San Pedro and 10th street in Los Angeles.
I got a great and gorgeous dress for $5 on clearance at Ann Taylor Loft. Yep, that’s $5…actually $4.88 plus tax. It was regular price $69!!! I was so proud!!!
