Forbes declared Groupon the fastest growing business anywhere and as a testament to Groupon’s success, there are many, many imitators. How’s a bargain hunter to keep track of all the incredible “social” coupons?
Enter Yipit.
This new site aggregates deals from Groupon, LivingSocial, Scoop St, HomeRun and about 90 other social deal sites. Who knew so many existed??? I’m so excited about what Yipit has to offer I’ve installed a widget in the Partners section of the right sidebar.
Yipit currently aggregates deals in seven major U.S. cities, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego and San Francisco. The site hopes to be in 30 markets by the end of the year so stay tuned if your hometown is not covered.
When you sign up for Yipit, the site asks you which categories of deals you are interested in, including facials, wine tasting, and groceries, among others. Chose a city, and the site sends you one daily email with one deal it thinks you’re interested in based on your chosen preferences.
The deal I received after signing up was for a $30 body wrap, massage, pedicure, cut and style at the Maximum Image salon in Boston. The retail cost of the services is $190 – an incredible savings of 84%. My excitement over this deal was dampened when I realized that to get more info, I had to click through and register on Daily Dealster, the site actually offering the deal.
So each time I want to buy a deal I hear about on Yipit I have to register for the deal site that is actually selling the voucher. Kind of a bummer. I’ll either opt out of the new site’s email list, or use a special email account. Even with this requirement, if you’re a fan of social coupons it’s a good idea to give Yipit a try.
Thanks to Liana of GuiltlessPurse who tipped me off to Yipit. Note, I earn a $2 referral for every person who signs up for Yipit via BargainBabe.com. Thanks for supporting the site!
Do you have a list of all the deal websites?
