I share five must read blog posts about saving money every Friday.
Cheapest flights on Tuesday – The travel deal site and blog FareCompare makes a good case for why you should always buy airplane tickets on Tuesday.
CVS expands in-house brand – CVS rolled out a new line of almost 100 “value” products under the name Just the Basics. The new line includes paper towels, sandwich bags, cleaners, laundry detergent, light bulbs, groceries, beverages, snacks, diapers, baby wipes, hair and skin care, shaving, hosiery, and much more. Interesting move. What will higher-priced brand names do to stay competitive? (CVS Press Release)
More Friday Freebies – Bargain Briana is at it again with an impressive list of Friday Freebies (in case you haven’t gotten enough on BargainBabe.com 🙂 )
Free kids TV – The online TV station Disney Junior has 39 full episodes of free kids TV shows , including Handy Mandy and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. (Passion for Savings)
Grocer freezing prices – Wegman’s announced it is freezing grocery prices on dozens of items through 2011. The list includes orange juice, coffee, cereal, bananas, red peppers, pasta, sauce, chicken, ground beef, salmon, tilapia, tuna, frozen pizza, frozen vegetables, and deli turkey, according to WalletPop. Wish I had a Wegman’s near me!
