I’ve lined up a slew of reader giveaways to celebrate the second anniversary of BargainBabe.com. There are 11 free prizes this week and 155 prizes next week (see below). Working for myself as a blogger has been a true challenge and very satisfying. I’m honored to be a leader in this community of money savers!

Thanks to our generous donors who contributed these amazing prizes!

As far as the gift card, laugh if you want, but honesty is the best policy.

I cannot pay Macy’s prices. I would probably sell/trade the gift card. Then, I would take the money and use the money to pay for the great deals I find on your site. 🙂

“How to shop for free” is the book i would choose. I am a college student now halfway across the country, and am completely independent. Back in LA I had all of the goodie/ freebie deals in my area up my sleeve. Now that i’m on the other side of the country, I need to learn some new basic tricks of the trade to become a pro again.

I would spend the $250 gift card on household items/ goods and other furniture I am going to need to buy once I move into my new apartment in a couple months.

I would also probably buy my mother a meaningful gift to show her my appreciation for the life she has given me and the way she has raised me. I am who I am because of her. She doesn’t pause enough to credit herself for this because she is busy worrying about the other 3 children in my family. She raised a set of triplets and my older brother [2.5 year gap] almost all on her own while working a full time job at work. She really deserves a meaningful gift. It would be so great if I could show her my appreciation with a nice gift.

I would love the book “Debt Free U”. And I agree with Connie Johnson on January 11th in the AM. I’m not fond of Macy’s because you can’t get much for the money you pay. I like to see LOTS of things in my shopping bags when I get home, for the small amoung of money I spent. I’d trade the gift card or sell it, and go to Wal-mart and get my family the necessities we need, not want. My motto is, “If it’s not on sale and I don’t have a coupon, than I’m not buying it”!

We tried to get pregnant for 6 years and our dream finally came true. It would be great to get some helpful tips on paying this off and getting our debt resolved. It is a lot of money to pay off, but so worth it!! I would also like the $250.00 Macy’s gift card to buy my husband some things that he could use for a change. I’d love to have a 250$ Macy’s GC- and it might be hard to decide for what I would use it- at the end it will be my “Feel well” combination: a pair of shoes, matching handbag a new freagance and new eyeshadow from MAC after they convinced me to try the purple one (they did that once with dark-green- amazing!!)

The Macy’s gift card would go towards buying future Christmas gifts (I use any gift card I get to buy gifts for future presents or trade it in for cash to buy gifts. That way, my budget still remains the same for bills and such but I am still able to afford gifts for special occasions.

I’d like the Free Fun Guide. My girlfriend is from SF and I’m from LA and both really don’t know about each others cities. As for the Macy’s card, I’d give it to my girlfriend as she has been out of a job for a couple years and her website hasn’t got the business she was hoping for. She could really use some new clothes.

I would also love to win the $250 gift card to Macy’s so my daughter could get some new clothes. My husband is laid off of work for a few months so we haven’t been able to afford to buy all the things that she needs. She recently started basketball and I can’t afford to buy basketball shoes so she wears her gym shoes. She has NEVER complained – EVER, so I would love to be able to take her shopping!

I would loooooooooooove to win the book “How to Shop for Free”! I have been coupoing for a few months now. I no longer mind going into the store with all my many many coupons, and don’t even turn around when the crab behind me starts to sigh or toe tap. HOWEVER… I still feel like there is so much more that I can do to save money. Also, it takes a lot of time to find, print and cut all those coupons (not to mention the cost of ink and paper). I’m sure that I could learn lots of useful tips from the book that will help me further my still developing skills.

I would LOVE the Secrets of a Stingy Scoundrel or How to Live on a Teacher’s Salary books. The Macy’s giftcard would be used to watch their sale and clearance racks to find clothes for the entire family, plus some household items. With my tightwad habits I can probably get a few items for each of us and for the house as well!

I would LOVE either the Secrets of a Stingy Scoundrel or How to Survive on a Teacher’s Salary. We are on a very limited income and tips to stretch the budget are always very welcome! I would use the Macy’s card to scour the sales and clearance racks for new clothes for the entire family and a few household items. With $250 I can probably find a few items for each of the 4 of us and for the house too!

I would love a copy of “How to Shop For Free”. I have been working toward becoming debt-free since 2007 and my income has reduced by 2/3 since then. I really could use the tips to maximize the income that I do have to meet my basic needs and maybe even have a few wants that have been on hold for four years.

I would love $250 to use at Macy’s! A lot of my clothes and belongings are wearing out and need to be replaced. I have been using queen size sheets for my full size bed for a few years now and would love sheets that actually fit! I also could use placemats, tablecloth, chair cushions, and many other household items.

I always enjoy Bargain Babe when I find it off the AOL homepage. I’ve signed up for (and received!) some of the free things you suggest. I just signed up for your weekly newsletter e-mail and I’m looking forward to it. If I win a Macy’s giftcard for $250, I’ll get a new shirt (one of the full price ones that my wife and I always want but are too cheap to buy for me), my wife will get a new coat (she can find the subtle differences between yesterday’s and today’s weather that would warrant an additional coat for “a day like today”) and my daughter would get something from one of those pricey yet poorly made newer designers.

I’m sure I could benefit from most of the books, but with a 17-year-old, a 16-year-old, no job of my own, looking at going back myself, we will have a family with 3 college students at the same time very soon, so I choose “Debt Free U.” If I should win, I will either use it on something we all need (on sale or clearance, natch), or for clothes for school next year.

However, his stinginess carries over into him being one of the most generous men I know. Because he is able to save so much money by budgeting and getting bargains, he uses the money to help others and to be very generous with me.
