Have early Black Friday deals spread to grocery stores? I cracked open my weekly grocery flyer and couldn’t believe the deals! I read the flyer each week so I’m familiar with what is a “good” price for many items. This week’s deals are so amazing I am waking up early to hit my local Stop & Shop before work. Here are the deals I hope to bring home.
Land O’ Lakes butter is 2 for $5. Normally 1 pound boxes start at $4, plus I’ve got a coupon. I’ve been considering upgrading from the store brand to a high end line since I heard you can really taste the difference. Incredibly, the ad does not mention a limit so I am going to stock up big time. Butter freezes great!
A 5 pound box of seedless Clementine tangerines is $4.77. Last week I paid $7 so I guess the small orange fruit is finally in season. I’ve been eating three a day so I am ready for the new 5 pound box. Clementines are my favorite winter fruit.
Yams are 2 pounds for $1. I don’t follow yam prices as much, but I suspect this is a decent deal. Yams are super easy to cook. Like potatoes, wash, poke, and shove in the oven.
Nestle chocolate chips are 2 for $4, which is not an incredible price, but still very low for my area. I bake a lot around the holidays so I won’t have any trouble using 3-5 bags.
The absolutely best deal and main reason why I am going to wake up early on Friday is for a 14-piece Pyrex glass storage set for $15. I’ve been wanting to switch from plastic storage to glass for health reasons (apparently plastic can be carcinogenic when microwaved). A smaller set sells at Target for $38. THIS IS A HOT DEAL!
If my total hits $80, I have a Stop & Shop $5 off coupon. Plus, I’m earning points toward big gas discounts. Wish me luck Friday! I hope I get the Pyrex set!
