If you are looking for top designers at the lowest prices, Recession Wire has a great roundup post on big names who are making clothes for small prices.
Here are a few of my favorite designers…and where you can score their styles for cheap prices!
Vera Wang – Wang is currently designing a collection for Kohl’s. Like all of Wang’s work her Kohl’s clothing line is modern and elegant. She offers styles that are perfect for layering (great to wear on cool summer nights) and even includes lingerie and sleepware. Note: If you also love Vera Wang perfume, you score great deals at TJMax. I found a bottle for half off the normal price. Score!
Charlotte Ronson – If you’re looking for a more downtown style, Charlotte Ronson is a great fit. She recently released her “tushies” lingerie inspired romper that girls have fallen in love with. Her line also includes short-shorts and ruffles tops and dresses. Her line is full of fun and funky styles. Even better, prices start as low as $9.99. What a steal!
Jason Wu – Jason Wu released a line for Target that has met rave reviews. Keeping in line with his usual signature style his new Target line includes lots of pleating, bows, and high modest necklines. Wu has also designed a ten different handbags in both solid colors and patterns. The variety of patterns, solids, stripes, florals and other fabrics makes sure that Wu’s collection has something for everyone. Prices for his collection range from around $19.99 to $59.99. Sweet deal!
Make sure to check out the full list of designer brands for cheap prices on Recession Wire. I have to admit I rarely shop for designer brands and haven’t ever really looked for their lower priced lines. From the collections that I’ve seen here, I might change my mind.
I do have a love of designer bags and shoes (does Michael Kors make anything that’s not beautiful!?) but I usually buy my bags at outlets or consignment stores. This is one of my favorite ways to save on designer items. You never know what treasures are hidden at a thrift store. The same is true for garage sales! I’m sure that you all have some great tips. What’s the best deal you’ve ever scored on a designer items? What is at a consignment store? On Amazon? Maybe, eBay? Share your best tips and biggest steals in the comments!
