If you missed yesterday’s super sale at Grocery University, a 19-part coupon class, the sale has been extended! The audio class usually sells for $24.95 but today it is on sale for $9.95. That’s 60% off!!!
This sale only comes around every six months, so if you have any interest in using grocery coupons to save money, or want to take your couponing to the next level, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GROCERY UNIVERSITY. I use it, and it has really helped me fine tune my couponing. I’m even getting my husband involved!
Here’s a sneak peek at Grocery University, taught by my blogger friend Carrie.
There are still a few more hours to buy Grocery University at the lowest price it ever sells for, $5-$9. The 19-series audio class on how to coupon is only on sale TODAY Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, as part of a Cyber Monday sale. It normally sells for $24.95 so this price is 79% off!!! There will not be a sale like this for at least six months or longer!
Grocery University will take your couponing to the next level. If you are a beginner, this is a fast track to advanced couponing. The classes range from a brief 2:19-minute introduction to a 13:22-minute meaty class on stockpiling. All but three of the classes (including the one on stockpiling) are less than 10 minutes, so they go by quickly.
Here’s how the pricing works:
Get a load of this. The awesome 19-part audio series Grocery University is on sale for $5 – that’s 79% off the normal price of $24.95.
I’M NOT KIDDING! IT’S ONLY $5!!!!

If you thought about buying Grocery University but hesitated, this is your chance.
There’s only one catch.
The sale is only a few hours long on Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, Cyber Monday. MARK YOUR CALENDERS. Here’s how the pricing will work:

All this cost me just $48.60 - 70% off!!!
Time to brag. Yesterday I went to The Body Shop and saved 70% off my total bill by stacking coupons and discounts. WOWIE! Here’s how I pulled it off. (If you don’t have a store nearby, you can shop directly through the site or get built-in discounts on The Body Shop products on Amazon.)
I bought 13 items that rang up for $162, including Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion SPF 15, Seaweek Mattifying Day Cream (that I use at night), and gift-size lip balm, lip butter, body scrub, body butter, and conditioner , pictured above.
I used a Buy One Get One Free holiday promotion coupon from a mystery bag that the clerk offered me. As soon as I entered the store she told me about the promotion, so as long as you shop in store you should be able to get a similar discount. The coupons vary but I pulled a really good one! This took off $68.
I redeemed two Groupons, worth a combined $80, that I paid $40 for. This saved me $40.
I used my Love Your Body Card, which takes 10% off . This shaved off $9.20.
At the store I paid just $8.60 for all this loot. That’s $3.70 per item!
Part of the reason why I was able to stack so many coupons and discounts was that the sales clerk was willing to help! I’ve noticed this in past trips so I’m guessing The Body Shop has a corporate policy to help their customers save as much as possible. By the end of the transaction, I felt guilty getting so many great skincare products for so little! Plus, my receipt has a 20% off coupon for any in store purchase before Nov. 30, 2011. Hot dang!

Loud. Brash. Egotistical. That’s how I would describe Ramit Sethi, the New York Times best selling author of “I Will Teach You To Be Rich”. Ramit was the keynote speaker at the Financial Blogger Conference I attended and presented at earlier this month. He kicked off his talk with this video, which ticked off a lot of frugal bloggers.
After the conference my friend, Jen from Balancing Beauty and Bedlam, chatted me up on Skype.
Jen: Ok, I just watched the video…Funny, yes, but a TOTAL insult to frugal bloggers. So, was it funny in the context of his talk, or if you are a frugal blogger sitting there, would you still have been totally insulted?
This week’s preview of Extreme Couponing follows a 16-year old from California who admits to being addicted to coupons. Oh my!

At least two readers, GDS and Cheryl, asked how to print coupons from our Coupon Database, a huge source of grocery, drugstore, and magazine coupons built right into BargainBabe.com. (Find it under the Coupon tab.) GDS wrote:
I love the concept but how do you use it. How do you get access to the coupon? There aren’t any links to some of the coupons. I was looking at the CoffeeMate Powder Creamer. Any help would be great!
To print a coupon, click on the link under Source Name or Description for the coupon you want. It should be underlined. The link will take you to the coupon source or retailer’s website. You may need to install a coupon printer, but once it’s installed you won’t ever have to do this step again.
If there is no underline under Source Name or Description, it means there is no direct printing available. But you can use the Source Date and Source Name to find the coupon in your newspaper insert, store flyer, or magazine.
Even if you already receive coupon inserts in the mail or with your Sunday newspaper, like EllieD, you can use our Coupon Database to print multiples of coupons.

Here’s a clip of Wednesday’s episode of Extreme Couponing on TLC. It shows a woman named Perry who clips coupons to keep her family eating an affordable vegan diet.

Reader Karen is gearing up for fall baking and in need of a very specific type of coupon:
Any ideas where I can get coupons for Grandma’s molasses…none are on site and they don’t seem to mail any. I’m in the 08742 zip code. thank you
I just love gingerbread cookies, which use a bit of molasses. Here are my top coupon resources for Karen and anyone else looking for a specific coupon.
Did you watch last night’s episode of Extreme Couponing? If you missed it (I was watching Raising Hope) or don’t have cable (like me), here is a sneak peak!
The clip features two couponers, one a 20-something college student and another who proudly clears shelves. Someone’s got an ATTITUDE!
A new season of TLC’s controversial show Extreme Couponing airs tonight, Sept. 28, 2011, at 10 EST/7 PST. Am I going to watch it? No. I’m going swimming, and then I’m going to watch “Raising Hope” on Hulu, which has fewer commercials.
Buuuut…I did catch this sneak peak about a woman from North Carolina who proudly clears the shelves so not a single coupon goes to waste. “You shoulda beat me to the store,” she says. Her $10,000 stash includes 250 bottles of body wash. Good luck using that up before it goes bad! (Eyes rolling). The video has multiple previews, interspersed with brief ads.

The Unethical Man, a reader who shared controversial tips to save money in Vegas (like taking hotel toilet paper), has a financial dilemma to share. Your thoughts?
I have one for you, and I would really like your honest opinion. I signed up for Del Taco’s Raving e-club a long time ago. From time-to-time, they send out emails containing a link to print out coupons to try something new. The coupon typically gives the bearer the new item for free with any purchase. I can and do print multiple coupons. The coupon does specify that only one coupon may be redeemed per customer per visit.
I’m sure that most people would place their typical order and throw in the free coupon as an added bonus. I’m sure that’s what the company is hoping for too. But when I go to redeem my free item,
Here are two quick coupon updates.
1. The CVS coupon policy is finally available online. You used to have to email CVS directly and request a copy. A PR rep emailed me saying there is a new FAQs section on CVS.com, although the only way to find it is by clicking on a tiny link buried at the bottom of the site to a site map.
2. Kroger stores in Texas no longer double and triple coupons. Remember our earlier post about Extreme Couponing backlash? Kroger claims the show did not have an impact, but I’m not sure I believe the grocery chain. Kroger still accepts coupons for their face value. Other Kroger stores will continue to double and triple. More details, and steps to take action on Couponing101.
