American Idiot is in its final 2 weeks at the Ahmanson. Don’t miss out! I’ve read outstanding reviews for this rock musical. Variety described it as a “blissful extravaganza” that “makes you think even as it knocks you out.” American Idiot tells the story of three lifelong friends coming of age in a post 9/11 world. The show, which is in its final 2 weeks at the Ahmanson, tells the story of three lifelong friends in a post 9/11 world. The friends are forced to choose between their dreams and the safety of suburbia. The smash-hit musical features several Green Day hits including the title track, but you don’t have to be a Green Day fan to enjoy this Broadway musical. According to the press release, the musical will “dare you to feel and celebrate and hope.” Variety even described it as a “blissful extravaganza” that “makes you think even as it knocks you out.”
