AOL Consumer Advisor Regina Lewis shares five web sites to save you money (a few of which you will recognize from reading this blog). I found the video to be very helpful and it’s only 4:21. Watch it here.
Why you’ll love these websites
At Bargain Babe we know the value of a good deal and coupons are a great way to score them. While you may not be able to get ALL of your must-have items for free like those on the show extreme couponers, you can reap huge discounts. To the tune of $50 a month or $600 a year! If your store doubles coupons you can save as much as $100 a month…$1200 a year. That’s pretty great for just printing your coupons. Using sites like Coupon Mom is a great way to save money without investing a ton of time. This is the perfect site for the Mom on the Go.
The few times I’ve upgraded a phone for a newer model (excluding those times I broke my phone and was forced to upgrade) the old phone has been left useless in a desk drawer. CellforCash.com is a great way to make that forgotten phone worthwhile. Depending on the phone you can get anywhere from $5 -$50. That’s a pretty sweet deal for something you might normally throw away.
At swapagift.com you can snag discounted gift cards. Prices are about 65% of face-value of the cards If you’re buying a card that’s a great deal, but it can also be a way to get needed cash. Do you have any gift cards lying around to stores you know you’ll never visit? Sign up to sell the card online and get cash to buy whatever it is you actually want or need.
4. Mapquest.com
Mapquest.com is a great way to plan out your travel plans. By showing you the quickest route to your destination they can save you money by helping you save money on gas, but that’s not the only way they help you save. By using Mapquest’s Gas Prices feature you are able to find the cheapest gas near you. Sometimes traveling just a blow away can find you gas that’s as much as 50 cents cheaper. That will add up quick and leave you with money to spend this weekend!
5) Yapta.com
Yapta.com is an AMAZING site for all you travelers. If you’re looking to plan a trip you can save by tracking prices of hotels, airlines, and even car rentals so you can book when the prices are low. Since airfare fluctuates wildly this could help you snag a better seat or flight time. Even better, it’s hardly any work for you. Just fill in where you’re going and when and they will alert you whenever a price drops. Nice and easy!
Thanks for the valuable information. The more you know… the more you can save. Thanks Julia
