A while back Bargain Babe found out she can use in store Bed Bath and Beyond 20% off coupons online to save money. In comments, readers shared tips to saving money at BBB that seemed to good to be true! I contacted the company to verify the suggestions.

Stackable coupons – Manufacturer’s coupons can be used in addition to any store coupons for the same item. If you have trouble, ask to speak to the store manger or call corporate. Note, Tammy said her local store refused to stack coupons.

Doubling up - While some stores allow you to apply multiple 20% off coupons to a single item, most allow only one coupon per item.

Getting coupons - BBB sends an in store 20% off coupon when you sign up for its email list. Once you make a purchase or share your address, you’ll begin receiving coupons in the mail.

Expired policy - Accepting expired coupons is up to each store’s discretion. Check in with your local store.

Price matching – BBB matches competitor’s prices. To get the price match, bring in an advertisement for the rival store. *According to their site, the items must be identical in model to qualify for a price match.

Price adjustment – If you forget to bring your coupons, go back later with them and ask for a price fix. You’ll need your original receipt. The difference in price will be given to you in the form of a gift card or credit on your credit card. You can also do this with items you bought online! (Thanks for the tip, Sharon and Denise!)

Use in store coupons online - Head to a store with your coupons and ask for help buying an item online. Ask the clerk to apply your in store 20% off coupon to your online purchase. Depending on the total, you may also qualify for free shipping! This worked for Bargain Babe!

Gift card offers – Look for Bed Bath and Beyond gift card offers with certain purchases. You can use their 20% off coupon on the purchase and potentially earn a bonus gift card for another transaction.

20% off or $5 off? If you spend $15-$24.99, the $5 off a $15 purchase coupon is the best deal. Once you spend $25 or more, the 20% off coupon saves you more money. Thanks, Denise!

Exclusions – Exclusions are listed on the back of the coupon: Not valid for the purchase of All-Clad, Alessi, DKNY, Dyson Floorcare, kate spade, Kosta Boda, Le Creuset, Miele, Monique Lhuillier, Nambe, Nautica, Orrefors, Riedel, Shun, Swarovski, T-Tech, Vera Wang, Victorinox Luggage, Vitamix, Waterford, Wusthof, or Zwilling; Argington, Baby Jogger, BÉABA, BOB, Bugaboo, Bumbleride, ERGObaby, Mountain Buggy, Mutsy, Oeuf, Orbit Baby, Pediped, Peg Pérego, Plan Toys, Svan, Teutonia, Under Armour, Uppa Baby, diapers, wipes, formula, baby food or portrait studio services. Note, Maggie said she was able to use a 20% off coupon on a Dyson vacuum.

BBB coupons at Christmas Tree - Colleen says Christmas Tree shops accept the BBB coupons because they are part of the same company.
