I had no idea Cracker Barrel made anything but cheese, let alone dolls! Then an adorable Butterflies doll from Cracker Barrel arrived at my doorstep. All of a sudden I was seven and playing “orphanage” with my sister Aicha. We would scour the house for every doll and place them in a row on the couch, taking turns attending to each one. Eventually the couch turned into a bus and we’d take them on a road trip.
Below we are launching a giveaway for more than $99 in Cracker Barrel dolls, trains, and toys, listed below. Don’t forget to check out our on-going giveaways for Diary of a Wimpy Kid,a $169 HP Photoprinter and Snapfish gift card, a $100 Fashion Playtes design your own clothing gift card, a $180 fancy hair dryer and flat iron, a $99 Mr. Coffee Coffeemaker, blender, and electric wine opener, and a $99 HP HD webcam!
Cracker Barrel makes a line of eight Butterflies dolls, each with their own personality and name. The Butterflies are powered by your child’s imagination rather than batteries, which helps them think more creatively. Each doll comes with her own outfit and you can purchase more clothes separately.
Their hair already comes in the doll’s favorite hairstyle, so if your child likes to do her doll’s hair, this doll may not be the best for that. However, you can take all of their hair accessories out and put them in differently.
Cracker Barrel also makes a wood train set, that comes with a track, train cars and other accessories. The train cars attach by magnets on either end which make them fun to move around. If you’re looking for a present under $20 for Christmas, you have to check out Cracker Barrel’s Great Gifts (they even offer free gift wrap). This price package includes:
- 1 of the 8 Unique Butterflies Dolls
- Butterflies Utensil Set
- Butterflies Doll Chef Hat & Apron
- Butterflies Plush Cupcake
- Butterflies Tote
- Wood Train Set
- Wood Works Airplane
- Sock Monkey Hat

Mattel’s Chrissy doll. You pushed a button on her stomach and her hair grew. There was a knob on the back that would wind it back up.
November 15th, 2011 at 10:22 am
A doll my mom bought for me during her trip to Russia in early 70’s. Not only this was my first doll but she was talking to me “mommy” when I pushed a button on her back. This was a best present ever. I got my mommy back home and now I was a mommy too!

My favorite doll was Mary Poppins, loved twirling her umbrella! Plus she was so beautiful.
November 15th, 2011 at 10:28 am
A Madame Alexander Doll, Wendy. I still have her, her clothes (ex. ski outfit with skis) and the red trunk I keep her clothes in. Wendy has a place of honor in my house. She is over 50 years old. She would love a new playmate.

My favorite doll growing up was named “Velvet”…she had blond hair that could be long or pushed back to short hair. She also had a wonderful Purple velvet dress. My mother aka “Santa” also attached a note with an additional pink outfit for “Velvet.” I loved that doll and never forgot her and that was over 40 years ago.
November 15th, 2011 at 12:32 pm
My favorite doll growing up was my Patty Playpal doll. I got her the first year she came out, when I was 7. She was the first realistic, toddler sized doll, the size of a 3 year old. I have her to this day, and my granddaughter now plays with her. My Patty Playpal is 51 years old and in great shape (I guess I just gave away my own age — 58)!!!!!
November 15th, 2011 at 12:50 pm
I only had one doll growing up…it was a Barbie Doll with long blond hair. I grew up on a farm in Poland so we were really poor and when my dad came to US he sent me a Barbie Doll…It was my first and only doll and therefore my favorite.

My favorite doll as a kid was my cabbage patch doll I named “Krista”. My mom was dating a guy and I HATED him because he was “taking Mommy away” (I was 2!) But once he gave me that doll, I fell in love with him, and to this day he has been the most amazing dad ever!!

My favorite doll growing up was a doll with a soft body and “plaster type” head, arms and legs. When reading how you played with all your dolls it reminded me of when I would collect every doll and stuffed animal and put them on the bed where we were all “shipwrecked” and I had to take care of all of them.
