coupons internet no 225x300 Reader problem: no Internet coupons accepted

Veronica is not the only one! I saw this sign in Long Island.

Reader Veronica wrote in with a real problem – she is limited to what coupons she can use. She writes:

No store where I live accepts coupons from internet, only newspaper or from retailer. By the way, I live in Port St. Lucie, fl.

There are five things Veronica can do.

1. Start a coupon train to get more coupons from newspapers. In a nutshell, a coupon train is when 5-10 clippers mail each other the coupons they cannot use. The packet goes from one person or “station” to the next person in the group. You take out what coupons you want, and add what you cannot use.

2. Buy coupons from a reputable website like TheCouponMaster.com or CouponsandForms.com. Here how buying coupons works. I saved a bundle using purchased coupons at Target.

3. Subscribe to more than one Sunday newspaper, which is when coupons are distributed. If there is a particularly good week, buy additional papers at the newsstands.

4. If you do not want to subscribe to the newspaper, go to the websites of RedPlum, SmartSource, and P&G to check if they will mail you coupons directly. If not, write a letter to the aforementioned coupons distributors and explain your situation. Perhaps they will add you to their mailing list for personally reaching out to them.

5. Seek out coupons in your neighborhood. A frugal friend hits up the coupon exchange at her local YMCA a few times a week. If none exists (in addition to gyms, I’d check your nearest library and community centers) why not start one?

What else would you do?

I have thesame problem so thanks for the tips. My local Kroger stores used to take internent coupons but they don’t anymore. My local Walmarts won’t take them either

I have gone directly to the website of products that I use. I explain the situation and I have had coupons mailed to me. They are usually better than what is in the paper.

My local Walmart will not take internet coupons anymore either. It doesn’t matter if they are printed off of a “coupon website” or manufactors website.

    coupon babe,
I think you missed the point that Veronica was making. She explained that the store did not accept internet coupons and you told her in paragraph #2 to buy coupons from an internet website. I think that would be the same and now she would purchase worthless coupons she could not redeem.
And sad to hear from Eva that Walmart who claims to be the ultimate American “consumer” store does not accept these coupons either. Sounds like they are not really for the consumer :(

@Ron When you buy coupons from the two sites I mentioned, you get actual clipped newspaper coupons. You buy them on the Internet, but they are not “Internet coupons.” Make sense?

  • Ron Says:

    @ bargain babe
Thank you for clearing that up. Makes total sense now. And btw thanks for your info and postings. being a married hetero male I appreciate the useful money saving tips and coupons

  • bargainbabe Says:

    @Ron No problem at all!

I’ve had luck with going to the customer service desk and having my coupons approved before shopping.

My printer is down , I need to buy a new one, but not one of those 3 in 1 because it will not work. Says it takes too much RAM, and I do not know how to add RAM. Anyway, If I see some extremely good coupons I will go to the library and print them out.
AND Walmart is going downhill. I was reading about them in the paper yesterday. Alot of people are shopping other stores now and seeing what bargains they can get. I do go there occasionally, but I do not buy my groceries unless it is REALLY on sale.

I must be reading too fast or thinking too slowly. “Buy” coupons from Internet sites? You’re not saying print them from sites like coupons.com. Why would we want to “buy” coupons?
