i would say try doing the smaller things yourselves if your confident but if your doing the bigger things hire a professional then no one gets hurt or messes up the home

I’m a big fan of DYI, as long as it’s something that’s not gonna cost me too much if I mess up. A professional will charge you double (if not triple) if he/she has to first fix up your mess, and THEN do his/her job.
