The prize giveaways begin Monday, Jan. 25 and multiple winners on my email list will be chosen daily through Friday, Jan. 29, 2010. We’re up to 46 prizes (full list below). Very exciting!
The Sephora card is being donated by Friendgiftr, a new site (right now it’s basically a Facebook app) that sells gift cards. The cool thing about Friendgiftr is that the recipient can swap the card among 120 prime retailers. So if you happen to chose a store the recipient doesn’t shop at, they can still use the card. And you can spend the gift card at multiple retailers.
So say you receive a $100 Target gift card, but really want to buy a pair of shoes for $45 at Macys and an $11 pound of coffee at Starbucks. You can – and there is no extra charge!
Participating merchants include Dominos, The GAP, Macys, Sephora, Starbucks, Target, and Williams & Sonoma. The downside is that each card has a surcharge of between $1.95 and $4.95. So you’ll pay upfront for the peace of mind that the recipient will be able to use the card exactly how they wish.

Does it matter which version of the email updates we request? Would we miss out on some things or something if we requested the weekly version?

SH, You are eligible to win all the prizes whether you are on the daily or weekly email list. If you get the weekly list, you do not receive all the blog posts. To receive every blog post, sign up for the daily email list. To receive 5-7 posts a week, sign up for the weekly list. The daily list has more coupons, some of which expire by the time I send the weekly list every Thursday.
