I bought several sizes of holiday gift boxes at Big Lots after Christmas three years ago and have reused them for the third time this year (and will get a few more years out of them). I just use a small amount of tape on the sides to deter peeking! Now I only have to use a small amount of paper each year. So it's saving me time wrapping and creates much less trash on Christmas day!

Walgreens has the Hallmark brand paper (has red label on it) 40-50sqft
for regular price 1.99 but often goes on sale 2/$3 or even b1g1 (that's when I bought mine). It's really good quality, some of the other stores is so thin your present 'shows' through it. Better to spend a quarter more and know it will cover well.
My absolute FAVORITE paper though is at Hobby Lobby. Expensive yes, about $5 for a big extra long roll and it is by far the best quality I've ever seen (VERY thick) and the designs are really contemporary, lots of pink/green, blue/white and stripes...really nice for the non typical Christmas giver!

Right now at Hallmark Gold Crown stores, you can buy one roll of wrapping paper and get another for $0.99. If you use the $5.00 Hallmark coupons, you get 2 rolls (90 sq. ft) for $1.40.

I don't have the square footage, etc., but Costco has always had the best prices in the past. I'm able to purchase a roll of wrapping paper there for around $8 and it has lasted me through almost 3 Christmases. It's a HUGE roll. Sorry I don't have the specifics, but if you're going to be at Costco anyway, it's worth checking out their prices.

We also buy the reusable bags for kid gifts with popular characters on them. Great to put the gift in, then the child can use again & again for sleepovers, carrying toys for road trips, etc

If you have a subscription to the Sunday paper, save up the colored comic section throughout the year and use it for wrapping paper. I have been doing this for years and have enough wrapping paper to last me for the next 2 decades. Take the time to trim the edges for a better look. And feel free to use as many sections as needed for those larger boxes. The only time I don't use it is for a wedding gift.

I have a ton of gift bags I have saved from various gifts, seasons, etc that we have recieved. I plan to mostly use those. Definitely doing my best to not buy much paper and recycle or use clever ideas.

HI BB!
I used very little wrapping paper this year. Most of my gifts were "wrapped" in handmade bags and drawstring bags I made this summer. I also reversed brown paper grocery bags and used those to wrap shipped items. My goal next year is to not use wrapping paper AT ALL.
