I’m always stumped when it comes to carving my pumpkin. I want to do something cool but often resort to a classic toothy grin. Hope these ideas will spark something in your head!

husband saw cathys post and informed me it is cylon, not cyclon- but yes its battlestar galactica.
on another note- another great idea is to carve designs into the paper lunch bags. i did it one year when i jumped the gun and carved pumpkins way too early, and the molded a few days short of halloween. just carve like you would a pumpkin, using an exacto knife, and make sure to put a piece of card board between the layers, as to not carve both sides. add a bit of rice, or dried beans on the bottom to weigh it down and add a tea light- voila! faux pumpkin!

I recommend doing a Google search for pumpkin carving ideas and see what you come up with. Also search Amazon for pumpkin-related topics. There are probably a lot of good sales post-Halloween!
