Nice list of back to school tips. Having a budget is key before you begin to shop if you don’t you may end up spending more than you planned. It never hurts to ask if there are other discounts.

When I visited home last month, I noticed one of the local churches giving away school supplies. They had a table set up with notebooks, pencils, pens, etc. I thought that was an excellent idea. Wonder if other churches are planning this sort of back to school give away…

Great tips! Another suggestion is to visit Zwaggle.com! Zwaggle is a free online marketplace where parents post their gently used kids’ gear (clothes, toys, sports equipment, etc.). Zwaggle uses a points based system, not dollars, so everything is free. There are tons of great clothes on the site that are perfect for back-to-school!
