Purchasing precious metals to add to your portfolio can be one of the most sound investments one could make. Unlike currencies and stocks which are unpredictable in future values, precious metals, especially gold, have maintained a steady appreciation over the last half century.
In fact, gold prices are poised for a “spectacular” and prolonged rally as the recession deepens and investors finally become disillusioned with the U.S. dollar. So says renowned Wall Street financial forecaster and economist Peter Schiff, who loudly warned of the October 2008 stock market crash and accompanying recession as far back as 2006.
Offering internationally recognized silver, platinum, and gold, as well as rare and collectible numismatic coins, Goldline International Inc. have been experts in the industry since 1960. With a vast knowledge of adding gold to an IRA, proof coins, bullion coins, and trends in precious metals, Goldline is the leading authority on the precious metal trade. Goldline’s success, growth, and experience have allowed them to acquire outstanding knowledge of precious metal products. If you are considering adding rare coins and/or precious metals to your portfolio or retirement investments, Goldline can help.

I’m not happy to see an advertisement imbedded in your articles. I have no objection to ads, but not as part of the articles.

I’m fine with the ads. I have no problem with this wonderful site making some money. After all, I’m getting all these tips for free and am very grateful.

My financial advisor has told me to hold off buying gold because it will go down again as the market goes up, as you can see from the ticker…..He told me to buy it when it goes down to 880, which he feels it will do once the economy gets better – then it will start to go up as the economy gets worse again. I don’t understand it but I believe him because it would make him money if I did invest. He said hold off for awhile…

I don’t have a problem with you having a ad, we all need to make a living and I wish you nothing but success. However, I do have a problem when your email tells of 4 new articles and in reality its three new and one ad.
Truth in advertising comes to mind.
Now that I’m done complaining, I love the work you are doing. Hope you have many more sponsors in the future. On your blog, it was clearly stated, just not in your email blast.

I have a hard time taking your blog seriously when there are paid advertisements. This is biased ‘advice.’

I’m not feeling this. I originally read this as a Bargain Babe post. I see BB as an authority and trust her judgment, and putting something out there as advice in a lookalike post (no, sorry “sponsored” with a colon doesn’t cover it) is shady. I’m unbookmarking you, Babe!

Kiki,
Sorry to hear you are unbookmarking BargainBabe.com! I marked the post as sponsored at the very top and at the bottom so I’m not sure how you missed it. Sponsored posts are an important way I support myself. I hope you’ll give me another chance!

Hope,
You are right. Paid advertisements are biased advice, which is why I mark them as paid content and have an Ethics policy that clearly states how I treat paid content on the blog. You can read my Ethics policy on thr About page. As for having paid ads at all – it is a mark of success!

Hopeful, thanks for your support. You are right. In the email subject line the software I use considers every new post an “article,” including sponsored posts so the heading was perhaps misleading. Unfortunately that is an automated process that I cannot alter. I marked the post as sponsored twice where I could, however. Thank you for your readership.

What in the world?
People just take a minute and get some perspective
here. We don’t pay to read these articles and after
reading Bargain Babe for over a year now I have
no doubts about Julia’s intentions for putting these
articles in her blog. If you want to get all huffy about
one thing that sounds like an ad and IS and ad when
you were Told it was going to be an ad , well then I say it is your loss. Un Bookmark her if you want but I
personally have learned so much from these blogs
that I call your attitude Un Thankful. Thank you Julia for all of your hard work. There ain’t no one out there like you Babe!

Thanks, Jenny! I appreciate your readership all this time. BargainBabe.com is free, as you point out, and paid content is clearly marked. This transparency sets BargainBabe.com apart from many other blogs that publish paid content without letting readers know. If you’d like to know more, check my Ethics policy on the About page. Thanks!
