One study says you will spend fewer dollars if you carry around $100 bills. Hmmm…

I find that when carrying cash I spend it… and generally can’t tell where!
However, the larger the bill – the less apt I am to break it.

  • bargainbabe Says:

Yup, that is the problem with cash. It’s so hard to track! I strongly prefer credit cards for that reason.

The one hundred dollar bill would be more exciting in my wallet, but I think the pile of one hundred one dollar bills will be more interesting to see at the frugal festival.

Too bad bargainbabe won’t let me partake in the raffle :)

I like the look of that $100 bill in my wallet and I know I’m going to win!

I totally agee that $100 bills make me spend less. I hate breaking them for all those little purchases you come across in the day. I mean who wants to be the one to buy a pack of gum with a $100 and have to get all that change back? And you can’t put it in a vending machine. Yep $100′s are harder to spend.

  • bargainbabe Says:

Funny – I think a lot of other people are convinced they are going to win too!

  • Mandy Says:

I say 100 $1′s. Make all my 2 buck starbuck drinks feel like they are free for a while! :) (get 2 shots of espresso in a grande cup of ice rather than a “grande iced latte”… almost half the price!).

How funny you should bring this up. I am working on a post about Starbucks discounts and I’ll use this tip. Thanks Mandy!
