#1 sounds cute, but maybe too blah.
#2 sounds a bit pompous or bragging.
If you really know that most of your regular readers are women, then make that the focus of your pitch. The last item seems to be the strongest, because bargains are only useful to the people actually making the spending decisions.

Is your pitch aimed at potential advertisers?Advertisers want people who have disposable income and are willing to spend it. That rules out #1, 4, and 5. You don’t want anything with a real or potential negative slant. It gives buyers an easy reason not to buy. None of these say why Bargainbabe.com stands out among the countless bargain hunting sites on the web. Every business has some inside advantage that is unique to them. Only you can determine what that is.
Your pitch needs to relay your uncommon offering in 15-20 words. Remember that this is a business pitch. The wording should be more polished and professional.

I love number 5, but I would just change the part that says “make you a lot of money” to “save you a lot of money”. That way it shows that you are helping people retain more of the money that they already have instead of having them think that you are going to help them make money.

  • Kathleen Says:

I don’t think that you want to limit yourself by stressing that more women use your site. If this is a pitch to advertisers, you want to show that you have a varied audience.

  • Wendy Says:

Build wealth through savvy spending and saving! Bargain Babe helps you find the tips and the coupons to save big bucks.

That’s my suggestion for your 30 second spot.

Michaell — yours is best so far! here’s mine BB.

Bargain Babe is working for YOU! She finds bargains, personal finance information, and tons of real life assistance [resources, help, etc. whatever works].

  • Rose Says:

I think Bargain Babe makes saving kind of hip and trendy, something any sensible woman would want to be. It’s not a pitch, but why I read the blog.

  • bargainbabe Says:

Thanks for all the great suggestions and feedback, folks! I really do appreciate it.

  • Alice Hengst Says:

I really like #4, except please get rid of the phrase “so they can provide for their loved ones”. It is SO old fashioned and maybe even trite! A lot of women like to get deals just for themselves. I suggest replacing that phrase with something about stretching their paycheck, or “making their dollars worth more”.

  • bargainbabe Says:

Karen, I love your pitch! Now if only another half million people felt the way you do!

30-second pitch (okay, less than 30):

The “f” word? Bargain Babe is not fearful of “f” words. In fact, several describe her: financially frugal and fearlessly factual; a female with finesse who favors fortune over fiscal folly and failure.
